The team is thrilled to have on-boarded startups ready to make changes towards sustainable systems, enabling the reuse of materials and turning waste into innovation. Out of 76 applications, a rigorous evaluation process has resulted in a competitive cohort. Take a look at the winners below:

These companies are handling a range of sectors within the theme of this call, from 3D-printed human tissues to the creation of usable materials from waste (e.g. demolition, glass) to biobased materials replacing microplastics and clean energy solutions.
X2.0 is giving these promising startups the ability to scale with tailored services and 1-1 mentorship. First they will undergo a needs assessment to understand where the biggest pain points are and following that, from our Impact Builders Catalogue- a strong network of over 100 companies and individual experts, who will provide exceptional services) will be suggested. Given that this project is focused on empowering startups in Europe, it is worth noting that four European regions are represented in this first cohort:
In addition, X2.0 is focused on gender representation, especially in sectors that are male-dominated. Excitingly, majority of startups either have a woman in a leadership role and/or a woman as part of their core team:
X2.0 understands the most pressing needs of startups and has created a matrix of core services that Impact Builders will help tackle. It is unsurprising that most startups are aware of their needs when it comes to marketing, funding/finance assistance, scaling and research. All services have been requested to some level, however, the biggest pain points are Financing/Investment Seeking, Business Development/Scaling and Commercialization and Legal Needs:
