What does your company offer?
SpinLab – The HHL Accelerator is a startup accelerator that supports the growth of entrepreneurial and innovative teams who want to scale up their businesses. Startups get access to infrastructure (co-working spaces and technology access), an e-learning platform, coaching and mentoring as well as an international network of successful founders, established market players and leading investors.

We’re dedicated to empowering entrepreneurial teams to turn their ideas into successful businesses. Our goal is to create a highly conducive environment that empowers founders and fuels innovation across Europe. One of the things that really sets our startup accelerator apart from our competition, is how vast and diverse our partner network is. We specialize in mitigating successful partner + startup pilot project cooperations. SpinLab part of serval strong initiatives e.g. EIT Urban Mobility, Womenture, European Digital Innovation Hub Saxony and Smart Infrastructure Hub Leipzig. Since 2015 we supported more than 135 Startups with an above-average startup survival rate of 83%. Through our large investor network and closeness to a strong financing scene such as the private venture capital fund Smart Infrastructure Ventures, to date our startups have raised more than €190 million. 9 alumni have achieved a successful exit, for example Rhebo sold to Swiss utility Landis+Gyr, mementor acquired by the US company ResMed or Infrasolid sold to Swiss sensor specialist Innovative Sensor Technology IST AG. The story of alumni mementor is very special. The spin-off from ETH Zurich came to our program with 3 founders and became one of the pioneers in the field of digital health therapies, also thanks to the guidance in our program, for example from partners such as AOK PLUS. It was then the first investment for our fund company Smart Infrastructure Ventures together. The headquarters were moved to Leipzig and the team expanded to almost 50 people. The takeover by the Californian medical technology group Resmed is the crowning glory of this story. In addition to support with financing, matchmaking with our partners to realise pilot projects in the areas of Smart City, E-health and Energy is a key element.
